April News from Adirondack Aromatherapy

Here is my little munchkin sitting at the Aromabar with me at  Lunaroma in Burlington Vermont .
I was nervous about bringing her there but she was such a good girl.
I have had aspiration to visit this place since seeing it online.
1 of the most beautiful well stocked aromabars in the country.

We had a winner for our 1000 Facebook fan, 2 year anniversary on Etsy giveaway.
This gift of soaps and accessories went off to West Coast Canada!
We may not be very well traveled but our products are!

I ordered this lovely 'surprise package' from Glory Be Herbals on Etsy!
She sends so much awesome stuff, like a surprise present for yourself!
There are products in here to die for I will hopefully post some reviews soon.
My skin is all glowy and healthy thanks to Jackie at Glory Be :)

Here is the outside view of Lunaroma!
I hope I can go back next year it is a good 3 hour drive from my home,
but you can order from them online too.
I am featuring some of their gorgeous vetiver from India in a new perfume oil I have concocted.
Next East Coast aromatherapy pilgrimage is to Enfleurage in NYC!

Liam sniffs some of our Polyjuice soap.

The following is 'A Declaration' written by Susan Cosgrove.
She's a family friend and fellow autism mom who will ofttimes take promotional photos of our soaps for us.

This declaration was penned  the day of her son Liam's autism diagnosis, March 2006.

'I still stand by it and work hard every day to make it come true.' ~ Suzy

autism is a word
it is 6 little letters
i refuse to let it change my expectations
it will not change my view of the world
or the world’s view of my family
it will not dictate how far we can travel
or how successful he’ll be

autism is a word
it is 6 little letters
i refuse to be intimidated
i will not get frustrated
and i will not give up
i won’t change my course
we’ll just fight that much harder.

Break out the Tissues! Max's Prom King Coronation, Lake George NY

Max won by a landslide. 80% of his class voted him prom king because he is always happy, funny, friendly & smiling. With so much bullying in the news  I hope this local story goes viral.

World Autism Awareness Day

We have several blog posts planned for Autism Awareness Month.
First we thought you might like you to meet our kids. This is Simon he is 14 and was diagnosed with autism at the age of 4 and Asperger Syndrome at the age of 6. Simon *LOVES* video games.

This is Phebe, she is 5 and was diagnosed with autism at the age of 2. She is daddy's little girl and she loves music, puppets & birthdays!

this is Cassidy. Note the vintage New Kids on the Block tee. My kids are so cool. We are not sure how old Cassidy was when she was diagnosed with autism, we adopted her when she was 8. Cassidy loves boats and the Titanic in particular.

Newest statistics have 1 in 88 kids being diagnosed with autism and three our mine.
